Step Into the Orchestra is a family-friendly, immersive music experience for children produced by 4 Corners Community School.
Instead of sitting quietly in rows and watching from afar, kids get to be right in the middle of the musicians. They can wiggle, ask curious questions, and explore music up close — they can be “just” kids, even in music.

What Happens During A Session
Welcome & Seating
Kids and families are welcomed and seated inside or around the circle of musicians.
Meet The Instruments
Musicians introduce their instruments up close so kids can see and hear how each one works.
Story Through Sound
We explore a short musical “story” or theme. The host explains what to listen for — rhythms, moods, characters — so kids can follow along.
Interactive Moments
Kids might clap a rhythm, do a simple movement, or echo a musical pattern to feel the music in their bodies.

Kids can ask questions, talk to musicians, and see instruments up close.
